Claudia's Christmas Stockings

Get ahead on your Christmas sewing! We will make one complete Embroidered, Monogram stocking in class. 

Redwork style designs with lacework style fills....These embroidered stockings will thrill and delight. Stitch cherished keepsake memories for you and your family!

Students will learn to personalize each stocking by bringing in a name from the embroidery module, position and resize it for a perfect fit.
The stockings are fully lined.
Learn Claudia's technique for perfect multi-hooping! All machine brands are welcome. Must have a hoop that can accommodate an 8" wide x 12" long design.

1⁄2 yard Background Fabric Light Colored tone on tone for Stocking Front & Back
1⁄2 yard Lining Fabric for front & back lining
12”x18” Cuff Fabric per stocking (tone on tone if embroidering a name on it)
3⁄4 yard Fusible Woven Interfacing by OESD or Shape Flex 101 by Pellon (20” wide)
7” 1⁄4” Grosgrain Ribbon for hanging the stocking

Optional: Piping for around the outer edge of the stocking - **We will not be doing the Piping in class**
50” Red & White Striped Fabric: Cut 1 1⁄4” wide x 50” long, cut on the bias
1/8” Cording 50” long
Piping Hot Binding Tool by Susan K. Cleveland (for trimming the piping to a perfect 1⁄4” seam allowance)
