Quilted Journal Cover

This class is for BERNINA Owners to dive deeper into the features of their machines. Learn new techniques as you complete a journal cover that you’ll personalize with customized decorative stitches, lettering, and free-motion stitching.

We will begin the morning with Free Motion quilting with your BSR, understand how to work the BSR, then in the afternoon we will create your own decorative stitches, creative use of buttonholes, and so much more.

Class is geared towards BERNINA Machines compatible with the BERNINA Stitch Regulator.
If you do not own a BSR, one will be provided for you in class, but you must have a BSR compatible machine (see below)

Kits of materials will be provided and are included in your class fee.

Kit Includes:
- Fabrics (subject to change from pictures, but will be Kaffe Fassett prints
- Batting
- Satin Ribbin
- Chenille yarn
- practice quilt sandwich for free motion

Please Bring:

Isacord 40wt threads. Bring a variety of bright colors, light and dark. Yellow, Pink, Blue, Purple will be best as our kits will be made of Kaffe Fassett Fabric. Wind 1 Bobbin to matching each spool of 40wt polyester thread.
Blue water erasable marking pen, Frixion pen, or chalk
Wonder clips or straight pins
Basic sewing supplies (snips, seam ripper, scissors, needles, oil, etc)

Quilting Gloves or Palm Paddle Sliders (available at Bobbin & Bolt)

Rotary Cutter

Small Cutting Mat

Sewing extension table or Sew Steady table

BERNINA Stitch Regulator (one will be provided if you do not own one)
Bulky Overlock Foot #12/ #12C (one will be provided if you do not own one)
Automatic Buttonhole Foot #3A
Open Toe Embroidery Foot #20/ #20C/ #20D
Edgestitch foot #10/ 10C/10D
