Jammin' Jelly Roll Quilt with Your Serger

Let's make a quilt with some texture!
In this class we will put our sergers to use to make simple, randomly pieced, rail fence blocks with a Flatlock Stitch that makes your colors POP!
Then, we will assemble the quilt using an overlock stitch with decorative threads.

Supplies:
All colors should compliment or contrast with your fabrics. We want to see the thread!
For FlatLock Piecing:
- 2 Spools Wonderfil Softloc Wooly Poly in different colors
- 1 or 2 spools 30wt Wonderfil Mirage Variegated Rayon in colors that will pop off of the fabric.
For Overlock Piecing:
- 2 Spools 12wt Wonderfil Glamore in different colors if you want a metallic look OR 2 Spools 12wt Spagetti for a solid look.

- Serger in good working condition. Please thread and test your serger at home before attending class. We will not have time to troubleshoot machines in class. If you need help with the basics and threading of your serger, consider signing up for our "Get to Know Your Serger" classes
- all serger tools and accessories that came with your machine
- 1 Jellyroll of 2.5" strips. A Roll with more variety is best.

- Rotary cutter
- Rotating Cutting Mat
- Small Rectangle Ruler 2.5" x 12"

Prep:
Cut all strips into 10" x 2.5" rectangles. You should have 160 - 168 10" x 2.5" fabric pieces (depending on if your jelly roll was 40 or 42 pieces.)
Press out any creases in the strips.
